After the highly successful ninth Twinwood Festival sold out, everybody is now looking forward to the 10th festival this August bank holiday 2011. The planning for 2011 is now underway. |
Non stop live music from well known bands. Music from the 40s, 50s and beyond. Plus air displays, hangar dances, trade stalls, great food, bars, museums, living history, classic vehicles, camping and lots more! In its tenth year, this nostalgic, annual Swing, Jazz, Jive & Rock n Roll music festival is now regarded by many as by far THE BEST VINTAGE MUSIC FESTIVAL IN THE COUNTRY! Word has spread globally, and many of our regular visitors come back each year from the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and from all over Europe to attend the Twinwood Festival. It is held at the stunning location of The Historic RAF Twinwood Airfield and Twinwood Arena, near Bedford, where Glenn Miller took his last flight. The emphasis is on nonstop, high quality music from many top Orchestras and artistes performing the great hits from the big band, swing and Jive era, and since 2008 we've also featured an additional brand new ‘50s stage which adds a new dimension to the festival. |
