Twinwood Events Limited was formed to promote the events and concerts held at the newly constructed outdoor arena which is sited on the historic Twinwood Airfield. The company also funded the restoration work on the airfield's Control Tower, which was the last place that the legendary band leader Glenn Miller was seen alive. On June 2nd 2002, the newly restored Twinwood Airfield Control Tower was opened to the public, and since then the Annual Glenn Miller Festival is now held each August bank holiday. The Glenn Miller Festival incorporates many top Big Bands, Swing, Jazz and Jive bands, as well as a whole host of other attractions, such as jiving lessons and Air Displays. The line-up of bands performing at the Glenn Miller Festival changes each year, and already many of the top bands have performed at Twinwood's Glenn Miller Festival. | Before Restoration | The Restored Control Tower |
